Gary is part of the i2B Technical team, he works closely with Phil Tompkinson (the Technical director). Gary came to i2B following his work at IBM. Gary has been with i2B since 2013 so we thought it was about time you got to know him a bit more…
What is your current position in i2B?
Technical Support
Can you give a brief overview of what you do in your work?
Develop the existing software, and help to diagnose and resolve any software issues
What would you say most motivates you to do what you do?
Making a difference – fixing issues or improving processes.
What are the goals you most want to accomplish in your work?
I want to avoid unnecessary repetition
In your work or personal life what have you found to be the greatest challenge, and how did you overcome this?
Time management is my biggest challenge – still working on that! 🙂
When you are not working what can you be found doing?
Watching football, reading (anything) or walking an anti-social dog.
What are your personal goals?
Be (fairly) healthy, have some fun and do some good.
What one piece of advice do you wish you were given when you first embarked on a career in IT?
Test, test, test!
If you could be anywhere in the world right now where would you be, and why?
Prague – for goulash and cold beer.

Coffee, followed by as many new IT skills as I can get.
